Don’t expect to pay. Don’t insist that you pay. Perhaps ask what she’d like to do. Don’t say stupid “manly” things, and don’t expect her to be June Cleaver. Gender norms are outdated and offensive, and any progressive girl isn’t going to take kindly to them.
This is partly in response to the last rule, because since we’re all so different here, we disagree sometimes.
